How does this technology work?
In layman terms. The mini CD’s use NFC technology to communicate with your phone. If you want to go down the rabbit hole, phones are always emmiting an electromagnetic frequency at 13.56 mhz. When this specific frequency is receieved by the mini CDs, it powers up and sends encrypted data back to your phone. This results in a digital experience you can enjoy through our platform. At ETRNL, we're constantly researching new ways to use the power of technology and frequencies to give the artists a truly unique and profound product experience.
Why am I having trouble reading tags on my IPhone?
(NFC is supported on the IPhone XR, XS, and newer.)
To preserve energy, IPhones aren't always looking for NFC tags (at least with the strongest frequencies).
The best time to read an NFC tag on IPhone is within the first 3 seconds of waking/unlocking your IPhone.

Try this:
- Hold the tag over your IPhone's front facing camera
- Keep the tag there, and then lock and unlock your IPhone
- You should see a notification for the ETRNL link
How do I enable NFC on Android?
(NFC support across android devices vary.)
For Samsung phones:
- Swipe down on your notification bar
- Long press the NFC button and make sure it is set to Standard mode.
For all other Android phones:
- Go to your settings page and look for NFC
- Turn NFC on and make sure that NFC mode is set to Standard.
Are sales of the CDs chart eligible?
Yes, but you have to setup your album's UPC code and track your album's sales appropriately according to RIAA's standards.
Can I order tags pre-programmed?
Of course!
We are more than happy to ship you tags with your content pre-loaded on them.
How much data can be stored on these tags?
Unlimited.
Files are stored in our cloud, and the tag is just a key that unlocks access to the files
